Introduction

Hawnes School, Haynes Park, near Ampthill in Bedfordshire, was founded in 1929. It closed suddenly in 1975 – but former pupils and staff still keep in touch.

During the school’s life certain former pupils and staff were ‘invited’ to join the old girls’ association – The Old Hagensians. It was made clear that others were not welcome!

Membership is now open to ALL former pupils and staff.

We meet in central London on a Saturday in early March each year for lunch.

The next meeting is Saturday 7 March 2026 at a hotel near Victoria station.
There is an annual newsletter. The latest one is 2024 which is reproduced on the Memories page but for privacy reasons without any contact details.
